We are proud to announce that, together with our trusted partner LED TOKYO, HeyLED has successfully completed the installation of the world’s first-ever DCI HDR-certified LED cinema screen in Japan. This milestone represents a significant advancement in cinematic visual technology on a global scale.

The Gold Standard: CTP 1.4.2 HDR Certification

CTP 1.4.2 is recognized as the definitive benchmark for HDR specifications within Hollywood’s DCI certification framework. Compared to versions 1.2 and 1.3, it introduces additional tests focusing on precise grayscale accuracy, uniformity of screen brightness, and grayscale and color parameters in 3D mode, significantly increasing the complexity and rigor of the certification process.

Timewaying’s Vision and Achievement

Timewaying identified the transformative potential of HDR technology for cinema more than six years ago. Foreseeing these critical testing requirements, we engineered our products from the outset to meet the most stringent HDR standards.

Following DCI’s 2023 release of Direct View and HDR specifications, and the 2024 implementation of the CTP 1.4 standard, Timewaying accelerated its internal R&D and validation efforts. We are proud to be the only manufacturer worldwide to pass CTP 1.4 certification specifically for fine-pitch LED cinema products and the first to offer a front-serviceable design tailored for cinema applications.
